| my fair share of reading on the sciences behind both sides; but I agree, my argument is far from purely scientific. I don't necessarily see I problem with this; debate should take note of the possible adverse affects against the economy and government (positive affects if you choose to take the other side). I don't believe news of this caliber should be swept under the rug, no matter if the offenders are hailed as credible scientists or not. This is how scandals of this proportion are left unchecked; to run rampant behind our backs and destroying our freedoms along the way. In this case the information was suppose to be public knowledge under the FOIA in the first place, but I doubt that this information would ever have been handed away to skeptics of the issue. It's hard to believe they would inquire into the possibility of the allegations being truth without having substantial understanding that the allegations very well may be true. Meanwhile, Dr. Jones has temporarily stepped down from his post as director of the CRU pending an investigation.
